Vaping has enjoyed wide-spread usage in recent years and if the trends continue, it looks to gain more acceptance in the coming years. The government says that the bad is supposedly temporary with the primary goal of discouraging mainly the youth to try vaping out of curiosity. They say that without the refreshing, fruity flavors that are present in vape juices, the youth won’t even consider trying out these products. Whether that is true and whether the government will stay true to their statement that this is just a temporary ban, only time can tell.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

Fortunately, due to some kind of “loophole” or at least a delay in the full implementation of the FDA of the guidelines, there are still vape products that we can still buy and enjoy.

Disposable e-cigs are by far the easiest way to begin or continue vaping, especially in 2020. After the federal ban on flavored vape pods happened, disposable vapes became the next best option for those after ultimate convenience. Disposable vapes are designed to be familiar to smokers, they’re mostly shaped cylindrical, and usually offers the same smoking sensation complete with vapors minus the tar, smoke, and much of the nicotine (or at least, you have a say on which formulation to use). Unlike other mods, disposables involve no replaceable parts, buttons, rechargeable batteries, or any complications that come with other products. They’re like USB devices, as such that they’re ready to out of the box. A simple draw would already activate one and once its battery is drained, you just toss it to the bin.

Since we tried this during summer, the Lush Ice (consists of a watermelon and menthol mix) easily became our favorite. It’s also one of the in-demand flavors in this collection. We also tried the Cucumber and Cool Mint. We do want to state that we were quite surprised by the Guava flavor. This is a flavor that you don’t often get out of any vape juices and when we tried it, we were instantly enamored by its rich, velvety aroma. 

The flavors that have “ice” along their names are flavors that pack a menthol punch and boy! They were perfect for summer. You can instantly feel the cool, crisp vapor in your throat and even if the vape juices only come with 5% nicotine concentration, they were still able to deliver a close to an authentic cigarette smoking experience. The convenience of the fact that with a puff you can already activate the device is a huge advantage as well.

New to Disposables?

Due to the recent bans, disposable vapes are probably the easiest devices to produce if you plan to try out vaping. Since there are no moving parts, it’s pretty much beginner-friendly. If it’s that easy to operate, what’s the need for pro tips? Well, no matter how easy disposable vapes are to use, there are some things you should know that could be taken for granted:

• Don’t store them in extreme temperatures as the small lithium-ion batteries inside might get damaged

• Don’t try and hack them for a refill; These devices were not built for the purpose and you can imagine the danger that poses.

• Dispose of them like other lithium-ion batteries, in a designated drop off for battery recycling.

• Make sure you draw from the mouthpiece ONLY; drawing from the bottom of the device could cause the vape to auto fire. Since there are no buttons, there would be no way to turn it off besides slamming it down on concrete, which would break the device and result in further safety concerns

• Make sure to not cover the airflow holes while drawing on the vape (normally, the airflow holes are on the very bottom of the device); covering the air holes while drawing could cause an unfixable leak

• Dispose of after the flavor drops off, even if there is more battery life. If you push it, you might get a nasty dry or burnt hit

• Don’t worry about counting puffs! The puff estimation of these devices was made by automatic puff machines for very specific draw durations. In general, the puff numbers are accurate enough
